when you are looking at compasses you need to look at the wording of class rule 22 first, or you may waste your money.

22. COMPASS One compass is permitted mounted on any part of the deck or the cockpit provided that the hull cavity is not pierced by anything other than the fasteners. Compasses shall not be fitted to inspection ports. Electronic and digital compasses are prohibited. Thanks Helpful! It would be great if Lasers were able to use a Digital Compass but it isn't allowed just yet. I notice that Rooster recommend the 103r for lasers but I have also seen others around. Has anybody else found any other types useful?
