The red numbers are an absolute nightmare to take off.

Hi, i have done this several times and I find its quite easy. Soak a cloth with white spirit and dab the numbers till wet then carefully peel them off, use the soaked cloth to remove any surplus glue from the sail cloth this can take time for the spirit to soften the glue. Once finished wash with hot soapy water to remove any spirit residue. Works for me as I get quite a few second hand sails. See ya sunday.

wiping the sail down with acetone before, afterwards and during i find works best. can be a long enough process however so leave enough time.
