Hi, My boat has some hairline cracks about a metre down from the stern and about a 30cms in. Its nowhere near the mast step. Is this anything to be worried about? The boat is two years old. Thanks Eric

use a small bit of epoxy resin or marine filler then sand down with 1500 grade wet sand paper

There is no issue, its prob just the gel coat cracking. It is common to see hairline cracks like this on lasers. They regularly occur on the hull where they have been tied too tight on to trailers. Has there been an impact where the cracks are appearing, if you put pressure on it is it soft? If not im sure its just your gelcoat. You can repair it but its not worth the hassle, it will make no diff to your boat.

I mainly want to know is it an issue. They are very small and hardly noticeable.
